A design villa in Murcia was not developed as a collection of trades, but as a connected system of place, architecture, technology, interior, outdoor space, use and communication.
The task
Many decisions. One guiding idea.
Building abroad requires more than coordinating a design.
Region and plot, climate and local building practice, spatial concept, building services, materials, landscape, furniture and later use had to remain connected across distance, language and different technical cultures.
The future use added a clear requirement: the villa needed to support short stays, longer living and focused work equally – without losing its private, Mediterranean character.
